Prolongation of the 1st World Exhibition of Display Holography in Minsk of Belarus.

In a time when individuals expect to be exposed  electronically even about happenings taking place in their own neighbourhood, the early success in terms of number of visitors at the 1st World Exhibition of Display Holography since its opening on Oct 1st has justified the high expectations of its Organizers.

Already counting more than 70,000 paying visitors, a multitude of reports and references in the local press and extended TV media coverage, the extension of the exhibition for almost one more month until sometime before Christmas (20 Dec) of this year has been announced.

International Annual Conference Holo-pack•Holo-print 2011

The long-established annual meeting of the international players of the holographic industry took place this year in Las Vegas (USA) between 7-9 Nov and the Hellenic Institute of Holography participated as a guest speaker presenting a paper titled  'Realistic Colour 3D Holography: Is It Here?' 

It is our firm belief that a simple look on the adjacent photo of one of the 5 recent HiH experimental holograms which were shown 'live' to the participants of the conference as well as the received encouraging ensuing comments underline the clear conclusion from our paper.

Display Holography Exhibition in Minsk, Belarus (1st Oct - 1st Dec 2011)

On Oct 1st, 2011 the World Exhibition of Display Holography focusing on the development and progress of display holography since the early days of the USSR to this date was officially inaugurated. More than 160 holograms of all types (monochromatic, pseudo-colour, full-colour, analog, digital) originating from 20 different countries and a multitude of reknown holographers are exhibited.

The Hellenic Institute of Holography participates as a co-organizer of this exhibition, for the purposes of which 60 historic display holograms from its Collection are made available, selected on basis of their importance in the development of colour in display holography for cultural applications.

International Scientific Conference Meeting HOLOEXPO2011 in Minsk BELARUS.

The 8th annual International Conference HOLOEXPO 2011 took place this year in Minsk Belarus from 29 Sep until Oct 1st and as usually it attracted the interest of scientist holographers mostly from the CIS countries but also from the rest of the holographic world. During this Conference, a multitude of scientific papers were presented on the current developments in various holographic fields, an active exchange of views among holographers and scientists on the future of the technique took place and the latest achievements from various disciplines in holography were made public.
